Ron grew up in Trent, Texas. After graduation, he moved to Lubbock, Texas, and became a Red Raider. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a business degree. He joined the Navy and was honorably discharged. Over the course of his career, he held various leadership titles and retired as owner of a local mortgage company.
After retirement, Ron was able to spend his time with his family and friends. He enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast with his family, watching weekend sports, cheering on his grandchildren, and hosting card nights for his friends.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Daisha and Summer, his sons-in-law Brian Davis and Steve Lopez, and his beloved grandchildren, Aubrey, Cason, and Sadie.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Faye and W.T., and brothers, Robert “Bob” and Delvin Lawlis.

A visitation for Ronnie will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. He will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
