

Roy L. Cox Jr., on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the age of 90, has gone ahead, and as in life, he will be Waiting to be with his Life-Long-Love of 68 years Lillie M. Cox. She was his first true love and always first in his life. Roy greatly enjoyed the travels he and Lillie made together and play slots and bingo in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie M Cox of Round Rock, his two daughters Linda Preece and husband David of Georgetown and Deborah Michalk and husband Paul of Coupland; his son Douglas Cox and wife Chrystal of Houston. Four grandchildren Tamara Preece, Garrett Michalk, Beau Michalk and Chandra David. Great-grandchildren Arlo Beaver, Easton Michalk, Zeke Bennett and Gunner Bennett. His brother Ralph Cox and sister Barbara Grimes.
He is preceded in death by his Father Roy Lee Cox, Mother Verna Abrams-Cox, Brothers Lloyd Cox, Elmer Cox, Delmer Cox, Willard Cox, Paul Cox and Sisters Mildred Cox, Martha Cox, Marie Miller and Virginia McKenny.
He served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, which included the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He received a number of medals of Military Merit including the Air Force Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster.
Roy was one of the most honest, thoughtful and considerate persons you could get to know; he was a wonderful person and dedicated husband and father who always provided for his family as best he could. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
