

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sara (Grothe) Field on November 4, 2024. Sara was born on September 27, 1940, and for the 84 years she spent on this planet, she was a beacon of empathy, energy, and boundless enthusiasm.
Sara was a caring, compassionate, and concerned individual, always placing the needs of others above her own. She radiated positivity and left a lasting impression on everyone she met, always reminding them to give of themselves as much as possible. A steadfast attendee at the First Baptist Church, Sara was also devoted to her faith and community.
She had a particular passion for volunteering and dedicated countless hours to help those in need. Her selfless actions and boundless empathy touched the lives of numerous individuals, creating a legacy that will be remembered by all who had the honor to know her. This was evidenced in the 46 years of Saras teaching career of her impacting and inspiring countless children that had the honor of being a student of Saras’ while she lived out her lifelong dream of being a school teacher.
Sara is survived by her loving son, Brent Field, and her caring daughter-in-law, Tracy Field. She also leaves behind her brother Ruben Grothe as well as her dear sisters Annette Cook, Barbara Polk, Judy Janson, Robbie Lindenblatt and Sandy Grigsby. Each of them carries a piece of Saras' loving spirit and will continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
Sara was a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed by all that knew her. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived. A life that was filled with love, compassion, and an unyielding dedication to service. Her warmth, kindness, and compassionate spirit will live on in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
