

Sara Elizabeth Whitfield of Georgetown passed away on January 22nd 2026 at the age of 93. She was born on July 14,1932 in Bartlett, Texas. Sara grew up in Elgin where she graduated from Elgin High School and then the family moved to Georgetown.
Sara worked as clerk at Hendersons on the square in Georgetown for many years. She was actively involved in The Assembly of God church where she was a faithful member.
She is preceded in death by their parents William Harvey Turner and Lola Turner, her brother William McAdoo Turner and a daughter Teresa Whitfield Bergstrom.
Sara is survived by her daughter Beverly Elizabeth Whitfield, sister Jeri Lindell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sara will forever be remembered for her kind personality , caring heart,giddy laugh and world famous sweet tea. She was always ready to sing and listen to a gospel song by the Happy Goodman Family , The Blackwood Brothers and many more. Her family will always remember the music playing in the house on most days.
The family would like to thank Bertram Nursing Home, Estrella Oaks, the Wesleyan and now Georgetown Nursing and Transitional Care for the care and compassion they showed our loved one. She spent these years with her daughter Beverly , also a resident, by her side every minute possible.
A committal service will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, located at 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, on February 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Following the committal service, a graveside service will take place at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
