

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Soila Baker, age 69, of Round Rock, TX, on January 16, 2026. Soila peacefully passed, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 18, 1956, in Runge, TX, to Rosendo and Demencia Molina. She lived a life devoted to her faith, family, and unwavering love for others.
A devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend, Soila wore every role with grace and pride. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in loving and caring for those around her. She had a heart big enough for everyone and made people feel seen, welcomed, and valued wherever she went. She greeted life with enthusiasm and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a proud Catholic, Soila lived her faith daily - not just in words, but through her actions. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity reflected the love she carried in her heart. She believed deeply in family, prayer, and showing up for others, and she did so selflessly.
Those who knew Soila will remember her as a truly special person - someone with a gentle spirit, a loving soul, and an infectious smile. She loved deeply, gave freely, and left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, strength, and compassion. She led others with a caring heart.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Baker, two sisters, Irene Molina of Runge, TX and Dubelsa (Danny) Serrano of Victoria, TX; her brother, Robert (Shari) Molina of Runge, TX; nieces, Cindy (David) Medellin of Beeville, TX, Deborah (Bulmero) Martinez of Victoria, TX, Emily Molina of San Antonio, TX and Kayci Molina of Georgetown, TX; nephews, Joey (Sonia) Perez of Hutto, TX, Darrell (Roxanne) Serrano of Victoria, TX, and Rob (Kendall) Molina of Temple, TX; along with numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory forever. She was preceded in death by Nathan James Baker (son), and Demencia and Rosendo Molina (parents).
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on through her family, her faith, and the countless lives she touched. We will continue to keep her memory alive wherever God leads us.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. A rosary and vigil service will follow and begin at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. William Catholic Church of Round Rock. She will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
