Stephen Dorian Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the peaceful passing of Stephen Dorian Wilson at the age of 67 on July 6th, 2021 after a brief illness. He will forever be missed by his wife Maria Wilson, five children Jennifer, Stephen, Michael, Paola, and Oscar, and two grandchildren Andrea and Luca.

Steve was born in San Antonio, Texas and was the son of the late Lillian and Robert Wilson. At the age of 17, he started his career in the grocery business; because of his dedication and perseverance, he quickly rose to a management position. His experience and knowledge led him to Fiesta Mart, where he happily worked for 35 years until his passing. This June, Steve accomplished 50 years in the grocery business. He was loved and respected by his colleagues. He was a great mentor and leader and treated everyone with respect. Steve believed in people and was always looking for ways to give people the opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally. He touched many lives in his career and will be missed by so many who knew him. He was always working on ways to improve the stores and his occupation was his biggest passion.

When not working, Steve enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a true family man, devoted to the needs of his family and always there when they needed him. He adored his grandchildren, spending time with them was one of the great joys of his life. He loved cooking on the weekends perfecting recipes and late at night he would listen to live rock music before bed. He spent so many years perfecting his golf swing and would always tell us he finally “got it!”

Steve was a loving and caring man. He will be remembered for his kind selfless actions and generosity. He was a reliable man that was open to help anyone and asked nothing in return. He believed in the importance of God in your life, giving and offering love and support to others, and the importance of family, unity, and respect.
