Travis Earl Doss

Travis attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Business Administration. He worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals and retired after 32 years. He then began a second career with New World Medical of California, a privately owned company launching a new product to the ophthalmology community. He traveled Texas and Oklahoma for 11 years and retired for the second time in 2011. Travis was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church.

Travis was married to Willie Perry of Jonesboro, LA and celebrated 54 years of marriage. He and Willie had two children, Darryl W. Doss of Austin, Texas and Karen D. Lee of State College, Pennsylvania. He and Willie were grandparents to Travis C. Lee, 12, Ariel M. Doss, 10, and Ridge H. Doss, 8.

Travis is survived by his wife, Willie P. Doss, son Darryl W. Doss and wife Anita P. Doss, daughter Karen D. Lee, and his three grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Myrlene Hopkins of Temple, Tx, brother Richard Doss and wife Gina of Carbon, TX, brother Walter Doss of Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a personal gratitude to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care of our loved one during his final days.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
