

He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and later became a Certified Public Accountant. He dutifully served his country with the U.S. Army and after returning home, served as a police officer with the Victoria Police Force. He later moved to Austin, Texas and began his career with the federal government working for the Veterans Administration DPC now known as the Department of Veterans Affairs. After leaving the VA, he founded his own companies; Expediters, Inc. that focused on collecting money owed to vendors by the federal government and FedPay that organized seminars to teach vendors how to effectively work with the federal government. Victor later moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Department of Justice where he retired from federal service.
Victor was a kind, soft-spoken, intelligent man who was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, taking long walks, hunting and traveling. He also took pride in his organic garden and loved sharing the fruits of his labor with others. However, his biggest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Victor is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Ann Buratti Johnson; sons George Johnson (Lisa) and Victor (Bobby) Johnson, Jr., (Diane); daughter , Michelle Soto ( Tommy) ; stepdaughter Sharon Schneider (Anthony), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers – George Johnson, Vernon Johnson; sisters- Maureen Ryan, Lois Henderson and Babette Johnson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
