

Wannette Hannegan was born on July 15, 1932, and passed away on February 2, 2021.
She and her husband, Terry Jorgensen, were raised in Dilley, Texas, and graduated together. Wannette was baptized in Dilley Baptist Church, and she and Terry married there in 1951. They moved to Austin in 1954, where they raised their family. They were active in Allendale Baptist Church for many years and all their children were baptized there.
Her daughter, Terranette, was born in 1954, followed by sons, Mike in 1957 and Patrick in 1961. Wannette’s world always revolved around her husband and children. She stayed at home during her children’s school years. Afterwards, she returned to work at the Texas Health Department for 17 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed being with people and was always interested in making new friends. Wannette was proud of her Irish/Celtic heritage and loved all things Celtic, especially books, poems and music.
Wannette was predeceased by her parents, James & Thurlough Hannegan; husband Terry; brothers, Horace and Junior; brother-in-law, Neville Dobie; older sister, Ruthie Dobie; grandson-in-law, Ronnie Bishop; granddaughter, Amanda Jorgensen; and great-grandson, Dominic Smith.
She is survived by her beloved children, Terranette West, Mike Jorgensen (Cindy), and Patrick Jorgensen; granddaughter, Lisa Bishop, Samantha Snyder (Brett), and Katy Jorgensen; great-grandsons, Ryan Bishop and Wyatt Jorgensen; grandsons, Shannon Smith and daughter, Shyler, and Nathan Smith and daughter, Charlotte; nephew, Jim Dobie and special niece, Dee Dobie.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery located at 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
