William Bryan Wahl

William Bryan Wahl, better known to his many friends as Bill, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Bill was born in Aurora, Colorado on December 17, 1963 to Dianne (Fowler) and Harold Edward Wahl, Jr.

Growing up as an Air Force child, Bill traveled extensively throughout the United States meeting and making new friends along the way. His travels brought him to Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Georgia and Arizona, finally ending up in Austin graduating from Lanier High School. Following high school, Bill attended St. Edwards University and was a member of the golf team, graduating in 1988 with two business degrees.

Bill worked with several high-tech companies in Austin throughout his career, currently employed by HMH publishing.

All types of sports were Bill’s passion, playing and watching football, basketball, baseball and golf. His two favorite professional teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He has been a season ticket holder for the Round Rock Express since day one. Bill was also devoted to the University of Texas Athletics.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, mother and grandparents.

There will be a simple graveside for Bill 10:00 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025 in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held at a later date, maybe sometime in September. We will update the service when the time and place have been determined.
