William Wilkinson

Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II and worked as a barber for over sixty years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Author Franklin and Ruby Neal (Conrey) Wilkinson; his beloved wife Marge, who passed away on the 26th of October 2009; step-mother Phanita Wilkinson and sister Ruby Faye Holland. He is survived by his sons, Ken and wife Shirley Wilkinson of Franklin, Texas and Ron and wife Debby Wilkinson of Austin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 26th of October at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35 in Pflugerville.

The funeral service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 27th of October, in the Theatre of Promise Land Church, 1504 E. 51st Street, Austin, with Pastor Kenneth Phillips officiating. The interment will follow with military honors at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
