Born on September 6, 1980, she embarked on a life journey full of zest, passion, and love, which came to an end on October 12, 2023.
Amira’s love for life was palpable. Her passion for dancing saw her gracing the Super Bowl stage during the halftime show with Diana Ross. As a member of the Arizona Skippers, she tapped into her rhythmic soul, and her dedication to the Girl Scouts led her all the way to gold. Music resonated with her, not just in dance but as part of the steel drum band. And her spirited energy was evident as she cheered for Pop Warner. Roller skating was yet another avenue where she spread her joy, and cherished memories of “fishing trips” with her grandma always brought smiles to their faces and warmth to their hearts.
She is survived and deeply missed by her mother and best friend, Tyra; her loving father, Bill; devoted siblings, John and Alicia; and her adorable canine companions, Meatball, Frankie, and Streudal.
Anyone who met Amira would vouch for her resilience and fighting spirit. Her radiant smile, often compared to the brilliance of a thousand suns, could turn any gloomy day bright. And it was hard to look into her beautiful eyes and not feel warmth and love.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Amira will be held on Sunday, October 22nd at 1 pm at Phoenix Memorial, 200 West Beardsley.
In the dance of life, Amira twirled with grace, love, and unmatched enthusiasm. Her memory will forever be a melody in our hearts.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.phoenixmemorialmortuary.com for the Areikat family.
