

Ana Rosa was born on May 8, 1954 in Acatlan de Juarez, Jalisco, Mexico. She and her family emigrated to the United States settling in Pittsburg, California . It was here where she met her husband, Harvey Esquer Urrea. They were married on December 3, 1972. They started a family and lived in Pittsburg for several years before moving to Nogales, Arizona in 1983. Upon her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Postal Service in 2001, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Ana Rosa was a devoted wife and a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She liked to cook for everyone. She also enjoyed gardening and did her own yard work. She was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and would often play games with them, read them stories and tell jokes. She had a very good sense of humor and a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Refugio and Paula Perez, her two sons Xavier and Gerardo Urrea and her husband Harvey Urrea. She is survived by her daughters, Ana Dupont and Cristina Talamante and her five grandchildren: Christiana D., Diego D., Reina T., Elias T., and Aaron T.
A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary in Phoenix, Arizona has been entrusted with arrangements. Her funeral service will be held on February 4, 2021 at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary. Following the service, she will be interred at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery with her son, Xavier Urrea per her wishes.
