He is survived by his wife of 57 years Carmen Villanueva, his daughters Yvette Rizzo (Jim) and Suzanne Tousignant, and his grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Sophia, and Antonio. Tony served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
He was a renowned bone histologist and was employed for 30 years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and for 15 years at Harrington Arthritis Research Center in Phoenix.
Mass will be held at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 330 W. Coral Gables Dr. in Phoenix at 10:00 AM on Wednesday January 18, preceded by a Rosary at 9:30. Burial will be at National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix following the services. A reception will follow the mass at the Church.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
