

Betty F. Gordon passed away May 28, 2016 in Glendale, Arizona. Betty was born May 9, 1927 in Laurel Township, Ohio to George and Dessie Nungster Lutz. She was an honor student in high school and graduated in 1945. After high school she worked as a secretary for Anchor Hocking Glass in Lancaster, Ohio. She met the love of her life Raymond Gordon in High School and the two married November 27, 1948 after Raymond returned from the Navy. They started a family and later moved to Arizona. Betty worked for Diane Ribbon Hobby Supply in Phoenix, Arizona until her retirement. She belonged to Thomas Road Baptist Church where she was dedicated to helping several missionary families. Betty continued to work until she was 76 years old. She was a hard worker, a loving mother, wife and friend. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gordon, her parents Dessie and George Lutz, her brothers Clint and Clyde Lutz and her sister Dorothy Singer. Sadly, her sister Jean West passed away shortly after Betty. She is survived by her sister Flossie Walt of Chillocothe, Ohio; her daughter Diane Dillon of Phoenix, Arizona; her sons Ron Gordon of Phoenix, Arizona and James Gordon of Wasilla, Alaska; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way. A Funeral Service will be held for Betty at 10:00 am, Monday, June 13, 2016 at Thomas Road Baptist Church 5735 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85031. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
