Brenda Lee Nash of Chandler, Arizona passed away suddenly on July 17, 2011. Brenda was born on July 4, 1966 to Lynn and Linda Prince of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was always known as everyone's firecracker. She always enjoyed the fact that the whole nation shared and celebrated her birthday.
Brenda was raised in the Salt Lake City area and attended school there. She graduated from Granger High School in 1984. She took some college courses, but never received her degree. She married Lawrence Herbert and they later divorced. She married her second husband, John Rabe, who also later divorced. Her husband at the time of her passing was Terry Nash. Terry and Brenda had known and loved one another for over seventeen years at the time of her passing. Terry and Brenda have one daughter; Camille Joann Nash.
Brenda was a loving and giving person. While in Salt Lake City she had helped a friend raise her daughter, Monica. As Monica grew up she wanted to stay in the Salt Lake City area to finish her schooling. Brenda's cousin Chris and Jennifer McLaughlin had guardianship of Monica at the time and were a great influence to her. With Monica choosing to stay in Salt Lake, Brenda and her entire family took Monica under their wing and lived happily as one big family. Now Monica is a mother herself. She has openly shared and let Brenda help in raising her son Calvin, which made Brenda a grandmother, and that was a true joy to her.
Brenda worked various jobs after graduating from high school. She delivered car parts to auto centers, did some temp work, plowed snow during one winter in Salt Lake, worked with stage crews, and was an assistant manager at Conoco at one point in her life. Brenda was living with her family when her mother's job was transferred to the Phoenix area in 2004. When her mother moved to Arizona, so did Brenda, Terry, and Camille. They purchased a home in Chandler, Arizona and that is where her family plans on staying the rest of their lives.
Both Brenda and Terry were able to find employment in Arizona when the moved. Brenda was working at LCBA as a teacher's assistant until the education budget cuts had her released from her position. She had also been working with children with learning disabilities at the time of her passing. During her seven years in Arizona she enjoyed volunteering for the Tempe Police, helping them with bait cars, traffic control, and was a certified volunteer for the force.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Brenda's husband and daughter, Terry and Camille Nash. Please send donations to them at: 98 W. Ivanhoe Pl. Chandler, AZ 85225
Arrangements are being held under the direction of Carr Tenney Mortuary in Tempe, Arizona.
