Cara was born on July 26, 1982 in Harvard, Illinois, the daughter of Scott Cregeen and Julie Howard. She is survived by her parents Julie Howard, Russell Howard, Scott Cregeen, Tammy Palchik, her grandparents Evelyn and Hank Sale, Georgia Howard, her siblings, Ashley Al-Khouri, Jarred Peters, CJ Franklin, and RJ Howard, her sons, Seth Cregeen-Yochum, Scott Shaffer, her boyfriend, Jack Porter and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Sorensen, Bruce Cregeen, Helen Cregeen, Sandra Cregeen, Joe Howard.
Cara loved singing, crafting, drawing, sewing, and spending time with her family. She had the most beautiful voice and we know she is singing in the Heavenly choir now. Most of all Cara loved her two sons. Seth and Scott were Cara's entire world and if you were lucky enough to see them together then you witnessed the light in her eyes when she was with them. There was nothing she would not do for them.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and niece. Cara's stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her contagious laugh will forever live on in our hearts.
When you think of Cara, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
