Carol Ann Lewis

Carol Ann Lewis passed away at 59 years old on Saturday, February 18, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born November 14, 1957 in Travis AFB, California. Despite her many medical challenges, her unwavering spirit for life and being with her family and friends kept her moving forward with a smile on her face and open arms for a hug and kiss. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Carol is survived by her husband of 40 years, James A. Lewis; children, James Jr. and Kenneth Lewis, six grandchildren, Breanna, Terrance, Ayanna, Adriane, Maggie, Dallas and Elizabeth, mother, Alene Tellez, four sisters, Doreen Rivera, Linda Duwa, Shirley Gonzalez and Theresa Lopez and one brother, Vincent Lopez and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony Tellez and Margaret Lopez. She worked in various managerial positions and most recently as a Records Supervisor for the Arizona Department of Juveniles Corrections. Carol's life centered around her grandchildren and family. She loved to sew and cook but her specialty was making desserts for family functions. A Celebration of Life and viewing will be held Thursday, February 23rd from 5pm-8pm (Rosary at 7pm) at Funeraria del Angel / Greer Wilson Chapel, 5921 W. Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ , 85033. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 24, 2017, at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 3140 N. 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85031.
