Carol Valentine Spofford

Carol V. Spofford nee Gentry, age 72 passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 16, 2023. She was an ER Registered Nurse for many years. She went into this occupation because she had a love and a compassion in helping others. She was very hard working and dedicated and often worked two jobs most of her career to support her family as a single mother to make sure her daughter had a better life and opportunities than she had. She was brilliant lady who also had a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering. She loved to travel abroad and in her later years loved trying new recipes and whipping up a gourmet meal in the kitchen. She was always up for watching a good movie with family. She liked reading inspirational books and doing home improvement projects on the house with neighbors. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved cocker spaniels whom she loved dearly. She was a positive person and had a wonderful witty sense of humor that kept family and friends upbeat and in stiches. She was very inspirational and kind person and will be missed greatly. She is survived by daughter Katrina Spofford and sister Bonnie L. Gentry and many cousins. A celebration of life will be held for immediate family and friends in the near future.
