Charlene Marie Harris

Charlene Marie Harris (Pinky) A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and good friend to all who knew her - passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born on Nov. 24, 1926 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

She was an R.N. her whole working life specializing in operating room nursing. After completing her nurses training in Des Moines in 1947, she moved to California for a brief period then on to Phoenix sometime around 1950 where she has worked and lived ever since. She was married to the love of her life Dr. Keith Harris for 22 years before his passing in 2004. Pinky was a voracious reader and an avid lover of nature and the outdoors. She loved to dance and play golf with her husband and her good friends. We're not sure? but we think she may have been the largest single consumer of Hershey's chocolate on the planet.... she really loved her chocolate! Pinky loved to grow roses, walk her dog and she loved spending her summers in the cool pines of Flagstaff, AZ with her family and good friends.

She is survived by her sister Pat and her sister’s extended family in LasVegas, NV and her daughter Karen in Austin, TX and her son Kevin in Phoenix, AZ… and seven grandchildren.
