Chris was born on July 17, 1976, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Roger Dale Comer and Karen Elizabeth Salmonson. He was one of two children and spent his early years in Springdale before moving after junior high. He graduated from Columbus High School in Kansas.
In 1994, Chris began working at his father’s car dealership, where his appreciation for both cars and business began to flourish. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in automotive technology from Pittsburg State University in 1998. A year later, he moved to Kansas City and worked as an accountant for National Beef Company. In 2020, Chris relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, for a fresh start and took on the role of lead accountant at Talking Stick, where he worked with pride and dedication.
Chris had a lifelong passion for racing. As a young man, he drove his father’s super late model race cars on dirt tracks across the region. From 1996 to 2004, he competed regularly, winning the track championship at Bolivar Speedway in 2003 and consistently ranking among the top ten drivers.
A true car enthusiast, Chris owned a 2020 Camaro he lovingly named Storm and a 2020 Chevy he called Seemour. He was an avid follower of NASCAR and local circuits and was a proud fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He also loved to travel—road trips, cruises, and international adventures. One of his biggest dreams was a trip to Belgium with his best friend, Regina. Though he didn’t get to take that journey, he carried the excitement for it in his heart.
Chris will be remembered for his big personality, sharp sense of style, and love for fashion, shoes, and name brands. His home reflected his personality—full of gadgets, electronics, and lived-in comfort. He used every space, not just a room, and filled it with energy and warmth.
Chris had a generous heart. He wore his emotions openly and gave freely, often putting others before himself. He was fiercely loyal and will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Karen; his sister, Misty Tadda, and her husband, Kevin; his nephew, Jaden Tadda; his niece, Bailey Tadda; his best friend, Regina, and her family; and his close friend, Josh Shue.
Chris was welcomed into heaven by his loving grandparents—Lee and Alice Samuelson, and Jess and Dorothy Comer—as well as his beloved English bulldog, Colossus, who was waiting faithfully for him.
Memorial service details will be announced and shared with family and friends.
