Tappe, Clifford Eric, passed away on January 24, 2013. He was proud to have honorably served his country for 23 years in the USAF, followed by 10 years in the Reserves. His most heartfelt memory was being an active participant of the Berlin Air Lift and a recent meeting with one of those survivors who had been a young girl waiting with her family for rescue. He retired from Garrett in 1982, but never retired from being a self-employed locksmith. He will always be remembered for always extending himself to those in need. Clifford was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Maebelle, his parents, Eric and Monica Tappe, brothers, Vincent, Ambrose, DeWayne, and sisters, Vivian, Avenell, Sharon, and Veronica. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Steve Eberhart, son, Frank, brother, Rodney Tappe, sisters, Lois Lindquist (Dick), Monica Buzzile (Joseph), Eleanor Ethridge, Shirley Poirier, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless amazing friends. Donations to Hospice of the Valley and their caring people would be cherished by his family. Private services will be held. Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85282 handled arrangements.
