
Cola was born and raised in Nebraska City, Nebraska, where she graduated high school and married Lou Huff in 1960. They had two boys and moved to Omaha in 1967. Cola divorced and worked in the banking and insurance fields until she remarried. She lived in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Great Falls, Montana; and Lake Elsinore, California, before moving to Phoenix. She was a 40-year breast cancer survivor, and recently had a triple heart valve replacement, before her passing at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, surrounded by her family.
She is predeceased by her parents Frances and Bernice Cole of Nebraska City; She is survived by her husband Jim Horn of Phoenix; sons Brad (Rita) and Rick Huff of the Phoenix area; Brother Larry (Margie) Cole of Scottsdale/Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sister Monna Rae Poggemeyer of Scottsdale/Nebraska City; Brother Randy (Andrea) Cole of Paradise Valley; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was a rock in all of our lives and will be greatly missed. Cola's ashes will be buried alongside her parents in Nebraska City in the spring.
