Cornelio Esquer Razo aka Corny or Tata to most, left us to finally reunite with his beloved Amada on July 27th 2025. Tata was 95 years old, just 3 days away from his birthday. Tata passed away peacefully in his sleep just after 5 in the morning at the Ryan House hospice facility.
Tata was born in Glendale, AZ to Guadalupe and Sara Razo. His siblings were Nellie, Jessie, Carlos, Roberto, Jose, and his surviving sister Lupe. Tata was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Amada as well as his handsome sons Johnny, Anthony, and Andrew.
Tata is survived by his son Raymond Razo as well as many grandchildren, and great grandchildren who loved him dearly.
Tata served in the Korean war for the US Army from 1951 to 1953 as a Private First Class. After returning home from his service, he bought a house in Phoenix AZ to begin his life with Amada. They married on May 9th 1965 and began their journey together building our lovely family.
Tata took pride in his work and did everything to provide for his family. Tata was a God fearing man, he was also a bit of a pool shark and loved betting on the horse races. Some of his favorite stories to tell were about winning at the track and his involvement in helping build the nuclear power plant. Most important was his family. He helped to raise all his grandchildren and did everything he could for us all.
Thank you, Tata. Rest easy and give Nana a big hug and kiss for us.
We love you.
