

David Allan Van Zanten was born on Thursday January 7th, 1954 in Arlington, Texas. He passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday January 5th, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona, just two days shy of his 71st birthday.
David was the beloved son of Norman and Minnie Van Zanten. He is survived by his devoted wife, Louise Mary Van Zanten; his cherished children, Rachel, Miles and daughter in-law Ashley, Rebecka, and Sarah; and his four treasured grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Kingston, and Juliana. David also leaves behind his brother Daniel Van Zanten and family. In addition, his respected sisters in-law Sylvia Hartzog, and Ella “Lisa” Cadotte.
David was a man deeply committed to his family, country, and being an exceptional inventor. David was very passionate about his multiple U.S Patents, and contributions to the Automotive Industry. He enjoyed time with loved ones and pursuing his passion for collecting various vintage coins and stamps, as well as building model airplanes. His love for shaping surfboards and creating speakers in his youth reflected meticulous craftsmanship and dedication that reflected his patient and creative spirit.
David’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing him. His steadfast faith provided him with comfort throughout life’s journey and serves as a source of peace for those mourning his loss.
A memorial service for David will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, Arizona. David will be laid to rest in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, Arizona following his Celebration of Life. hough deeply missed, David’s legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he held dear.
