

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years; Albert J. Kovac Sr.
Dora leaves behind her children; Albert Jr., Kim, Kit Sturm, John (Sandy), Kip (Roger) Wilson, 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Dora was born in Ft. Worth, TX… raised in Monterey Mexico till the age of 15, then moved to Syracuse, NY. Dora loved the arts and was a talented ballroom dance instructor and fell in love with one of her dance partners, whom later became her beloved husband of 66 years!
Dora and Albert loved adventure and traveled the world before falling in love with the Southwest and settled in the desert near Phoenix to raise their family.
Dora wore many hats as mother, restaurant owner and finally retired with over 20 years at Karsten Ping Manufacturing. In retirement Dora’s love for the arts took her to the theatre, where she was a volunteer at the Historical Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix. Dora enjoyed her grandchildren, pets, gardening and watching her nightly Telenovelas.
Dora’s kindness, generosity and playful sense of humor and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Services will be held on Monday, March, 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Graveside services will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery
