

Dorothy Agnes Dyer, 85, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on August 22, 2010. She was born December 16, 1924 in Friendship, Arkansas to Walter Elbert McMahan and Dicie Sheehy McMahan. She moved to Phoenix in 1945 with her husband, James Andrew Dyer. Dorothy was a housewife her entire life and also volunteered in the schools, scouting and at the hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a “Hockey Mom and Grandma” for many years with both Larry and his son, James. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of almost 50 years, her parents, her daughter, Kay Lynn Dyer, four sisters and two brothers of Friendship, Arkansas. She is survived by her sons, James E. Dyer and his wife, Diane, of Springfield, Missouri and Larry Dyer of Phoenix, four grandchildren, Jeff Dyer of Ventura, California, Tiffany Perrine of Columbus, Georgia, Heather Jamison of Ovilla, Texas and James Andrew Dyer of Phoenix, nine great grandchildren and three brothers, Jim, Louis and Jack McMahan of Friendship, Arkansas. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. with Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009.
