Edward Arthur Wilson

Dr. Edward Arthur Wilson, age 83, passed into heaven on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He joined his daughter, Wanda, who passed in March 2006. He’s survived by his three other children, Susan, Kelce, and Peter, and his wife of 61 years, Elinor. Together they have 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Arthur earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 1968, then worked for many years at Honeywell in the development of industrial computer hardware and software. Upon retiring from Honeywell, he ran a mortgage business and did title company postings on remote rural properties. Arthur loved to travel, including taking his grandchildren on special trips to various places in Europe.

His greatest love was to serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through teaching Sunday School, substitute preaching, and supporting many missionaries around the world. Arthur was a quiet person, but he would light up and often laugh as he told stories of his younger days at school and at work, about his travels, and about the miracles and blessings that missionaries had relayed to him.

A graveside service will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park, located at 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85027. The service is scheduled for January 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A reception will follow the graveside service at Orchard Pointe Assisted Living, located at 17200 N 67th Avenue, Glendale, AZ, 85308.
