

Born September 14th, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Julia Kingsland. Eleanor married Leonard J Fischer on July 26th, 1953, and they moved their family to Phoenix in April of 1959. She worked for many years with Valley Feed & Seed, Kinney's Shoe stores & Goettl Air Conditioning in accounting. Eleanor enjoyed bowling, and in middle age, oil painting some. Always the supportive wife & mother, Eleanor, beyond work & a few hobbies & friends, focused herself upon husband and son. Eleanor is a consummate organizer and bookkeeper, only trailing in these areas (ever so slightly) in latter days.
She is survived by her son, Alan and grandson, Perry Fischer, NE Phoenix, as well as Rose Marie Reid, sister-in-law, Scottsdale AZ. Predeceased by sister, Joan Kingsland in 1983 and of course, Leonard in 2009. During the time before his death and after their son leaving home, Leonard and Eleanor traveled extensively around the world, including Caribbean & Mexican cruises; Europe, the Middle East and Hawaii.
Public visitation shall be Sunday, April 14th, 2013 at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix starting at 1 pm with service beginning at 3 pm with Alan Fischer and Jo Hale officiating. Burial itself takes place in small, private setting on Monday the 15th at Greenwood Memorial Lawn at 9 am for those who can attend.
