Eloise C. Ortiz

Eloise C. Ortiz, 89 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully in her home July 14, 2017. Eloise was born August 12, 1927 in Somerton, AZ to Cruz Dominguez Wynne and Joseph Wynne. She was the owner and director of El Ballet Folklorico, "Los Conquistadores". Choreographing the dances, creating the dance costumes, and teaching the children were among the passions of her life. Eloise enjoyed traveling; some of her favorite places to visit included Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Vincent V. Ortiz and their children; Vince Ortiz Jr., Mary Griffin, Rachelle Kitchell, Frances Cano, Alice Plaxco, Ernest Ortiz and Josephine Contreras, 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Eloise and Vincent enjoyed sharing their home with 36 foster children over the years. Eloise will be remembered for her kind eyes, bright smile and generous heart. She loved socializing, dancing, gardening and watching the Diamondbacks games. Her greatest joy was spending time with the family and showering them with love. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, from 6:00-8:00 PM at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26th,

at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6200 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ.
