Elsie Schlip

Elsie Jane passed away March 16, 2015 at the age of 80. She was born in Lake of the Woods, Minnesota April 8, 1934. She grew up in Minnesota then moved to Arizona in 1965. Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Elsie was a passionate gardener and avid reader. Elsie loved to cook, and to play cards. One of her most favorite things to do in Arizona was to tube down the Salt River with her many friends and family. She also loved putting puzzles together. Most of all Elsie loved visiting and laughing with everyone she knew. Elsie is survived by her sister Neva Horton, her daughter Roxanne Sundberg, her son William (Bill) Sundberg, her grandson Nicholas Sundberg, her granddaughter Dawn Poehls, her great grandson Nathan Opacki, and her great granddaughter Autumn Maynes. She also has 9 nieces and nephews she visited often in Minnesota. Services will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85027, Saturday March 28th at 1:00 pm.
