Ernie was born on August 22nd 1938 in Phoenix AZ.
He was a hard worker for the City of Phoenix for over 40 years. Traveling to Disneyland and the beach were two of his favorite past times.
He is preceded in death by his parents Theresa and Albert Gomez, brothers Gilbert and Ralph ,son Jimmy Chavez and two grandsons Jaime Rodriguez and Jimmy Chavez Jr.
He is survived by his his wife of 41 years, Delphina; sons Ernest Gomez Jr, Christopher Gomez, Porfirio Chavez Jr.; daughter Stella Chavez; niece Christina Gomez,several nephews, 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A visitation for Ernie will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn's Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix. His funeral service will be at noon with committal to follow.
He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
