She is survived by her son, Chris Hinton; daughter, Allison Hudgins and husband Rusty Hudgins; Grandson, Justin Bohannon, Great Grandchildren, Kipton and Adalynn Bohannon and Nephews Craig and Richard Walker.
Jean Breedlove moved to Phoenix in 1949 where she met her husband Luther Hinton. Jean and Luther owned and managed apartments at 12th Street and Glendale in the ‘50’s. She was a loving and caring wife and mother to Michael, Christopher, and Allison.
She enrolled Christopher and Allison in private school and was hired by the school to be the Administrator. As Administrator of Rancho Solano Private Schools, she was a mentor to the young teachers and loved by all. There she formed and nurtured many lifelong friends. Her close-knit group of friends, “The Golden Girls” dubbed her “St Jean” as she was constantly being sought for her advice and wisdom. She would read the daily newspaper from cover to cover and keep everyone informed and updated on the latest news. She was our cheerleader, counselor, and healer.
Jean had a wonderful sense of humor and was an avid reader of novels. She was a ghost writer and editor for college and doctorate papers. Helping others was her passion. She was very close to her family and enjoyed spending time with them in Sedona and on many family vacations in Laguna Beach. She will be remembered for being selfless; caring for any family, friend or animals in need.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her!
Donations may be sent to the wonderful people at Hospice of the Valley, www.hov.org, who helped us keep our mother comfortable at home until her eventual passing.
