Hollingsworth. On December 10th, 2024, the world lost a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt,
grandmother, friend, & partner. Florence passed away unexpectedly in Phoenix, Arizona at the
age of 58.
Florence was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on June 23rd, 1966, to Margaret & Cecil Brandon. She
grew up in McLoud, Oklahoma and graduated from McLoud High School in 1984. During her too
brief but eventful life she lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, California, Japan, and Arizona.
Florence spent the majority of her career working in the finance sector within the healthcare
industry, and was always quick to provide assistance and advice regarding her expertise when
asked.
Flo was adventurous, family oriented, playful, loving, opinionated, generous, and kind to all.
These attributes led her to live a life of varied interests. She could just as easily be found
singing karaoke with her sister as she could be crafting a thoughtful keepsake for her grandson.
She was an avid reader, and dreamed of visiting the places she read about in the Outlander
book series, her favorite novels. Her willingness to explore led her as far afield as Japan with an
infant as her traveling companion, and as close as a home state diner on a road trip taken on a
whim. Throughout it all she was grounded by her deep and abiding love for her family, with
whom the most meaningful moments of her life were shared, a love demonstrated by her
stubborn refusal to leave this world until her family gathered around her.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret & Cecil Brandon. She is survived by her
daughter Brandi (Evan) English, son Joshua Hollingsworth, daughter Rachael Hollingsworth,
sister Christy (Joel) Derr, brother Nick (Delaney) Brandon, grandson Davey Jackson, fiance Tre
Morris, & many nieces, nephews, friends & loved ones.
The family would like to thank the staff at Honor Health Deer Valley for the care they showed for
Flo, and the compassion they gave to her family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Women’s Heart Foundation.
