

Frank Stephen Croley, age 77 of Phoenix Arizona , passed away the evening of February 10, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on October 27, 1946 to Paul and Ethel Croley in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from high school in 1964 and went on to study theology and was ordained on June 29, 1974.
His life was dedicated to helping others through his ministry and career in the mental health field. Frank’s ministry included pastoring churches in New York, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas. He also served as the chaplain of the Arizona State Hospital. As a life-long learner, he earned many certifications and degrees in those two fields. His extensive studies led him to achieve a Master of Divinity, Doctorate in Psychology, and he was also a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor.
Frank had many hobbies. He reached the black belt level in Kung Fu and studied under Master Ing. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and could create jazzy tunes off the top of his head. Another of his pastimes was communicating with others by ham radio. Since he was young, Frank loved the freedom of a motorcycle. He often took rides around Arizona to appreciate the desert beauty. He was an avid reader and had an extensive book collection.
Frank loved his family very much. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Tom Croley, and sister Paulette Munn. He is survived by his daughters Darla Spilman and Jayme Croley, their mother Patti Zontanos, granddaughter Hailey Patana, and his sister Kathleen Humphrey.
Services will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary on Friday, March 22nd at 1pm.
