

Phoenix, Arizona, June 5, 2012. Long time resident of Rochester, New York. Originally from Hungary, Frank immigrated to Rochester from Germany in 1955 and was an award winning carpenter, responsible for the concrete form work on the University of Rochester Chapel and St. John the Evangelist Church in Greece. He was self employed for many years and renovated many houses and businesses throughout Rochester. He was an avid gardener, beekeeper and farmer, making wine and champagne for over 50 years and cultivating over 10,000 Christmas trees on his property in Ontario. Frank was also a founding member of the Verein der Donaudeutschen.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Vera, as well as daughters Sylvia (James Brongo), Carol (Cameron Anders), Eileen (Patrick Morgan), grandchildren Anna and Quinn Morgan, sister Maria/Tere Springer (James), nieces Wendy K. Apton (Ron Rietz), Debbie Mendelsohn (Mark), 2 grandnephews and one grandniece. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix in October.
