Gabriel Castillo Ruelas Jr.

Gabriel C. Ruelas Jr. 77, died on September 30, 2015 in Phoenix. He was born in Nogales, Arizona on January 30, 1938. He retired from Kroger’s in 2004. After retirement he worked at Holy Family Catholic church as a caretaker. He served in the military branch of the United States Army 1961-1963 and then in the Reserves until 1967.

Preceded in death by his parents and stepmother. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Luisa Maldonado Ruelas, three children; Ronald, Monique Alvarado (Robert), and Ryan and one granddaughter Chasleen Santos Ruelas. His sister Jenny Ruiz, and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and in laws. Compadres Gilbert and Josie Gajiola Sr.

In Gabriel's honor, a Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 from 5-8p.m. at Advantage Colonial Chapel 4141 N. 19th Ave. Phoenix, AZ with a Rosary from 6-7p.m.. The Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at 10a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at East Resthaven Cemetery. Donations can be made in memory of Gabriel to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenix at 1421 S 12th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034.
