

Gary Wayne Barot, age 68, passed away peacefully at Chandler Regional Hospital after battling a reoccurrence of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015. He was born on August 2nd, 1946 in his family home in Maineville, OH. Gary graduated from Kings Mills High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed on a remote Aleutian Island of Alaska as a diesel mechanic for the power plant. He was later assigned to Luke Air Force Base in Litchfield Park, AZ. There he met his wife Linda on a blind date. They were married shortly thereafter on October 10, 1969. Gary worked in the masonry construction business for many years. The remainder of his career was as a commercial truck driver. One of his favorite pastimes was camping with family and friends as he had a great love of nature. He also loved to attend car shows with his friends. He was a member of CrosspoinTempe Church since 1979. Before his illness he participated in the monthly homeless laundry ministry which helped those in need to get a shower, do their laundry and get a fresh meal.
Gary was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Linda, daughters; Shannon (Jeff) Fore, Lisa Barot, son; Michael (Sheryl) Barot, grandchildren; Justin Schwimmer, Zachary Schwimmer, Preston Fore and Addison Fore, sisters; Virginia (Wilbur) Ritchey, Lois (Carroll) Crites as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; Harry Samuel Barot, mother; Mary Katherine (Reynolds) Barot, sister; Evelyn (Barot) Johnson, and brother; Gale Barot.
Gary leaves behind many family and friends and he will be deeply missed by all.
