George William Dawson, 77, of Phoenix passed away May 30, 2011. He was born June 8, 1933 to Charlie Clay and Myrtle Freeze Dawson in Paden, OK. He was a long time resident of Phoenix and had a heartfelt passion for his trade as a sheet metal worker. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in Okinawa for 2 years. George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dolly, and three brothers and 2 sisters, Cecil, Jim, Vern, Bernice and Doris. He is survived by his brother Bo Jack and his sister Margie, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with funeral services to begin at 11:30 AM. Graveside service will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N.
