Germana Allegri

Germana Allegri, age 79, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on August 24th, 2022. Germana was born on September 18, 1942, in Valdagno, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1958 with her mother and sister and was proud to become an American citizen in 1963. Germana married her husband, Joseph, also in 1963, had two children over the next few years, and moved to Phoenix with her family in 1978.

While raising a family, she started a successful reweaving business, and ran it for more than three decades. After retiring, Germana kept busy with reading, cooking, and especially, gardening. She loved growing things, and her green thumb coaxed a bounty of vegetables from the harsh desert climate. Her love of computers came later in life, but she was a wizard on her PC, using it to find new recipes, listen to music, shop for goodies, play games online with friends, and keep in touch with family around the world.

Germana was a compassionate, intelligent woman who always lent a kind ear, without judgment, to all. Her family and friends remember her generous heart, quick wit, incredible cooking, and passionate love of music, art, nature, and learning.

Germana was predeceased by her husband Joseph and is survived by her son, Andre, and daughter, Adriana.
