Born in Kalamazoo, MI in 1928, he grew up in Chicago but moved to Scottsdale over 40 years ago. Harold, known for being charming, supportive and practical (if sometimes curmudgeonly), was self-employed from his early twenties in the manufacture and sales of automotive parts, predominantly water pumps. He continued to work from home as he entered his nineties.
He served in the US Navy at the end of WWII. He played handball regularly for many years. He loved listening to music. He once said, "Music is my salvation-- ice cream is my downfall."
Harold was married twice and is survived by his loving intermingled family.
We miss you, Dad.
