Harvey was born on August 21st, 1928 to Herman and Bella Garfinkel in the city of Brooklyn, NY. After Harvey graduated from high school, he served in the US Army.
After completing his service, he worked in retail, then the textile industry . Harvey always had a strong business mind, which allowed him to advance into managerial positions in the industry.
Harvey was very passionate and firm with his views. He read the newspaper daily, and kept up on current events. He was also very charitable with others, kind, a lover of dogs, and very supportive of his immediate family.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Carmen, and his step-son Jay.
He will be missed greatly.
