Heidi S. Weaver, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2021 with both her daughters by her side.
She was born on November 19th, 1949 in Sioux City Iowa to Leon and Helen Schule. Her first child Troy was born March 1970. She married Marc Weaver December 31st, 1974 in Montana. In July 1978 the couple welcomed their first daughter Meaghan and in November 1979 their second daughter Kirsten.
Heidi was a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room areas for many years and was passionate about caring for patients. Her and Marc also had many business adventures from property and auto repossession companies to owning bars in Deadwood, South Dakota.
Heidi loved holidays very much and it was essential to decorate and celebrate each one. She was always up for trying and creating new recipes in her favorite cookware in every theme, color, and size by Temptations that she would find on QVC presented by Cooking with David. She baked the most loving holiday treats and most creative birthday cakes. She also was an amazing seamstress and made many of her own clothes as well as her daughters and helped support herself through college sewing and making alterations. Heidi could fix anything, and many times “saved” way too many things. She had the most fun and planned way ahead for Halloween and designing costumes. She loved watching storms, dancing, and 50’s and 60’s music. Her most favorite place was Swan Lake where she had many childhood memories. She loved having her hair done as a surprise in spikey cuts and wild colors.
As a Nanny she volunteered tirelessly for Baseball, ROTC, and Football fundraising efforts, running snack bars, NASCAR beer carts, keeping schedules, updating parents, and hauling equipment. She was always ready for a game wearing team colors with the loudest, most obnoxious cowbell or airhorn in hand. She spent countless hours transporting her grandson making sure he never missed an event, game, or practice to support her daughter’s education and career goals. Aside from her grandchildren Heidi was also an amazing dog Nanny. She took care of so many dogs and was passionate about senior dogs having a loving and comfortable end of life. She loved her adopted St. Bernard Sully and one of her favorite things to do was sit in the backyard and watch him enjoy his yard.
Heidi was preceded in death by both her parents, son Troy, husband Marc, and brother Tom. She is survived by her brothers Tobey and Todd, daughter’s Meaghan and Kirsten, grandchildren Tamarrah, Anthony and wife Kendra, Emilie, and Kazrel. Great grandchildren, Andrew, Paris, and London.
Speak of me as you have always done.
Remember the good times, laughter, and fun.
Share the happy memories we've made.
Do not let them wither or fade.
I'll be with you in the summer's sun
And when the winter's chill has come.
I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.
I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease.
I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep,
But memories we've shared are yours to keep.
Sometimes our final days may be a test,
But remember me when I was at my best.
Although things may not be the same,
Don't be afraid to use my name.
Let your sorrow last for just a while.
Comfort each other and try to smile.
I've lived a life filled with joy and fun.
Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become.
