It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected news of the passing of Hilario Aragon. On January 14, 2015, Hilario, 60, of Phoenix Arizona was surrounded by his family as he passed into new life. His gentle, kind spirit will remain close in the hearts of his loved ones: his cherished wife, Gloria (Juarez), mother, Martina(Mullen), daughter, Elda(Bryan Schrock), son, Angel David(Amy), grandchildren: Isabella, Jenessa, Brandon, Xavier, brother Jesus(Maria), and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Abel Mullen and his Tia Guadalupe Aragon.
Hilario was born October 21, 1954, to Martina in San Pedro, Durango, Mexico. He spent his childhood in this small village. This is where he met the love of his life, Gloria. He married his bride on April 16, 1977 and immigrated to the United States. Phoenix, Arizona became their new home as they started their family. Hilario worked at Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant and John C. Lincoln Hospital. He recently retired his hospital position after 37 years of service but continued to work at Manuel’s as head chef. Hilario experienced an unexpected brain aneurysm. He did not suffer as our Lord called him to his eternal reward. Hilario was a devoted man. Faith and family were the two most important things in his life. When not at work, Hilario enjoyed playing with his four grandchildren, who lovingly called him Tito. He would go out of his way to help others. He was always happy to cook carne for special occasions. At Christmastime hundreds of tamales and enchiladas were made to share with family and friends.Even though our hearts and lives are changed forever, we are thankful that we had the honor to know and treasure this special man. May our memories fill the emptiness in our hearts and in our lives. We return in love what love has made.
