Jacqueline Elizabeth Burks

On the afternoon of January 19, 2016, Jackee passed away at Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ as a result of a medical reaction after drinking an energy shot. She was 37 years old and was surrounded by all of her family and close friends at time of death. Jackee was born in Napa Valley, CA on May 7, 1978 and was the third child of Lani Lint. She grew up in Vallejo, CA with five other siblings and attended high school at Hogan High where she was the field goal kicker for the Powderpuff football team and was also a member of the photography club. Jackee graduated from Hogan High in 1996. Jackee met the love of her life, Timothy W. Burks, in January of 1997 and they were married on March 1, 1998 in Reno, NV. Jackee and Tim had five beautiful children; three girls, Victoria, Veronika and Lillian; and two boys, Timothy and Ajay. Jackee was a compassionate, kind and loving mother and wife. She received her associates degree from Estrella Community College in 2015 and was working on getting her bachelor’s degree for teaching from Arizona State University. Jackee’s hobbies included football, event planning, racing, writing, and fishing. Jackee is survived by three children, Lillian, Timothy and Ajay; her loving husband, Tim; four sisters, Jenny, Robin, Amanda and Pamela; brother, Patrick; step father, Doug; brother-in-law’s, Justen, William and Sam; father-in-law, William; mother-in-law, Evelyn; 10 nieces; 12 nephews; and her best friends, Gina and Charlie Beeman. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave Phx, AZ 85009. Funeral Services will begin at 4pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Greenwood Serenity Chapel, 2300 W Van Buren Phx, AZ 85009.
