James Bennett Davis, 68, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away in the arms of his loving wife, Linda, October 6, 2015 following a long illness. He was born on July 12, 1947 in Berkeley, CA. Jim’s passions were his family, friends, golfing, and fishing with his father. He loved to barbeque and made a kick-ass ham. He hated coconut but loved Budweiser. Jim was a laid back guy who enjoyed life to the fullest and was a great friend to many. His most special gift was having the opportunity to walk both of his lovely daughters down the aisle to be married and share the first dance with each. He was strong for his family and put up a good fight. Jim is preceded in death by his father Emmett Davis. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Davis; mother Kay (Big Mom) Davis; daughters Emily (Marc) Guillen and Deanne (Michael) Richter; brothers Rob (Rebecca) Davis and Doug (Linn) Davis; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. We sincerely appreciate all the family, friends and healthcare providers who have supported us through this time of sorrow. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Jim, you will be forever loved and missed. Please have a cold Bud for us. Love, Linda, Emily, Deanne, your family and friends.
