

James C. Killingsworth passed away July 29, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born May 28, 1930 in Phoenix, Arizona to Clyde and Elizabeth Killingsworth. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired as a SSGT (E-5). He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars and spent time stationed in Germany, Japan, Texas, Utah, California and Thailand. Back at home, he worked as a city employee, truck and bus driver. James was a long time member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a faithful 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather with three children and many grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Dorthy May Murray; his brothers John (Jack), William (Bill) and his sister Elizabeth (Betty). He is survived by his wife Arline Killingsworth; his son James M. Killingsworth; his daughters Denise States and Katrina Holder; his grandchildren Dirk Reese, Michael States, Misty States, Kenneth Cumings, Steven Cumings, Christopher Cumings as well as 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5-8pm with a 6pm Rosary at Funeraria del Angel Greer Wilson Chapel 5921 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, Arizona 85033 with a 10:30 am Funeral Tuesday, August 8, 2017 also at the funeral home. A Military Service will follow at 12:30 pm at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
