James Willard Vernatt of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born on April 28, 1936 in West Virginia where he grew up. After moving to Phoenix, James was a truck driver and worked for ABC Trucking from where he retired. He was actively involved at Harvest Church Glendale where he took pride in replacing the offering envelopes and tissues every week in the sanctuary.
He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Martha Vernatt, his wife Ruth Vernatt, and his sister Dorothy (Dottie) Dimond. He is survived by his step-children Jocelyn Forsyth and Harold (Maikia) Forsyth, and his grandchildren Cayden, Kyler, SuamYaj, and Lily Evergreen.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion they showed James in his final days.
