Ja’misle Edward Stringer peacefully passed into the arms of God on Sunday while surrounded by enormous love of family and friends. His spirit now lives strong through the many people he loved and cared about during his 28 years of life.
He was a devoted husband and high school sweetheart to Sandra Rena (Dickerson) Stringer. They were blessed with twelve years together. Ja’misle was also the loving son of William Anthony Stringer and Jane Ellen Stringer, brother of Elizabeth Diane Myles and La’teana Jenet Heuer, son-in-law of Julie Rodean Rada, brother-in-law of Norman Lee Heuer, Jessica Lynn Lopez and Katie Marie Rada. Not having children of his own yet, Jamisle spent much of his time and energy helping to raise and entertain his nieces and nephews, Tyrece Mi’Shawn Carr, Laquisha Angelica Myles, Jazzmyne Deanna Nikole Myles, Tayah Lizzette Myles, Tahlia Janae Heuer, Mya Nikole Lopez, Lakayla Sonja Heuer, Arianna Sophia Rada, and Loghan “Ja’misle” Heuer.
Ja’misle lived a full and amazing life. Many were blessed by his contributions. Ja’misle is a 2001 graduate of North High School in Phoenix, where he was a fierce Mustang Football lineman. Ja’misle can be most remembered for his devotion to football. He was a skilled player and coach. While he was passionate about the game and the art of coaching, he was even more motivated by the joy of mentoring and inspiring young people toward success in life. Ja’misle’s career was devoted to mentoring and coaching youth at North High School, Maricopa Youth Football, National Youth Sports League, Betty H. Fairfax High School, and RCB Medical Arts Academy. He touched the lives of hundreds of youths through his efforts. His mentees will most remember Ja’misle by the motivational and inspirational tales that he told at practices and before games.
Jamisle’s battle with leukemia exposed him to the dire need for minority and mixed race bone marrow donors for the National Marrow Donor Program. He and his family are passionate about doing what they can to ensure that the number of people is minimized who suffer or die because a donor cannot be found.
