Jane Ray Blackwood, age 89, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2010. She worked in the banking industry for many years in the Valley. After she retired, her volunteer work with the Beatitudes auxiliary for over 20 years was one of her greatest joys. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband David. Her sister Shirley Cook, niece Robin Murphy, and many dear personal friends survive Jane. She will be deeply missed by all. Memorial contributions in Jane's honor may be made to the AZ Humane Society. The Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 16th at the Shepard of the Valley Lutheran Chruch, Christ Chapel, 1500 W. Maryland Phoenix, AZ. A reception will follow the service in the Burns Hall. Arrangements under the direction of A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.
